FOOD SAFETY TRAINING & EXAM REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

  • Food Code Requirement: Mandatory. Georgia requires at least one food service manager on staff who has successfully completed a food safety training program and passed an ANSI-CFP exam. For all new establishments, there is a 90 day grace period to comply with the mandatory manager certification. During this 90 day period, the manager or person in charge must demonstrate food safety knowledge. For existing food establishments, manager certification shall be implemented by 11/2009.
  • Class & Exam Type: Online & Classroom Training and Exams are excepted to meet Georgia Food Code Requirement.
  • Certificate Renewal:  Valid for 5 years and must present original certificate.  Photo copies are not accepted.
  • Instructor Requirements: Registered ServSafe Instructor & Proctor.
  • Current Scheduled Classes: Private Classes of 6 or more are valuable 7 days a week upon request.  Email us for more details.

ALCOHOL SELLER/SERVER TRAINING & EXAM REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

  • Alcohol Seller/Server Requirement: Training is voluntary state wide.  City or county may have requirements.
  • Class & Exam Type: Online & Classroom Training and Exams are excepted in Georgia.
  • Certificate Renewal:  Valid for 3 years and must present original certificate.  Photo copies are not accepted.
  • Instructor Requirements: Registered ServSafe Instructor & Proctor.
